- How many weeks pregnant you are.
- Estimate your due date (the estimated date of delivery).
- Whether you're expecting more than one baby.

- The development of your baby

Who is it for?
The scan is recommended for all women, but is especially important for those who have experienced pain, bleeding, or complications in previous pregnancies.
This scan includes:
- Abdominal scan
- 30-45 minute appointment
- Report and images
- Professional ultrasonographer or consultant gynaecologist
What Can It Tell You?

How to Prepare for the Scan?
Our medical team will provide specific instructions for your scan. Wear comfortable clothes, as you must expose the areas of interest during the scan.
What to Expect During the Scan?
Before the scan, an ultrasonographer may discuss the procedure, ensuring you understand the process and answer any questions. Once in the examination room, you'll be asked to lie on the examination table. A special ultrasound gel will be applied to the examination area and the probe. Early pregnancy ultrasound scan is generally painless, but the sonographer may need to apply gentle pressure to get clear images of your baby. This may cause some discomfort, but it is not usually painful. The scan typically takes from 30-45 minutes. We always offer a chaperone if needed.

If you are uncertain about which scan you require or are unable to locate the specific scan you are searching for, do not hesitate to consult our doctor. They will take into account your medical records, symptoms, and other relevant factors to suggest the most appropriate scan for you.
