How to Prepare for the Scan?

Our medical team will provide specific instructions for your scan. Make sure to wear comfortable clothes as you will have to expose the areas of interest during the scan. We always offer a chaperone if needed.

What to Expect During the Scan?

Before the scan, an ultrasonographer may discuss the procedure, ensuring you understand the process and answer any questions. Once in the examination room, you'll be asked to lie on the examination table. A special ultrasound gel will be applied to the examination area and the probe. The scan is usually performed transvaginally, meaning a probe is inserted into the vagina. This is the most effective way to visualise the uterus and ovaries.
The scan takes about 30-45 minutes.
